Are there any songs you believe would be a great addition to your own personal soundtrack to the original Lost Boys movie?

For me, a song that comes off the top of my head is Guns N' Roses "Welcome to the Jungle." The song actually came out the same year as The Lost Boys but in October. Much of the song fits Michael's situation, where he's new in town and he gets sucked into the dangerous world of the undead. Santa Carla literally changed him: from a normal human into a half vampire, then back to being a human again. Axl Rose's line: "D'you know where you are? You're in the jungle baby. You're gonna die!" is absolutely fitting for the whole vampire theme. The lyrics about being a girl "who's very hard to please you can taste the bright lights but you won't get them for free" can apply to Star, who got herself entangled with Max's boys by however means. Ignore the fact that it's really referring to prostitutes wanting more money to where she's a half vampire having to make her first kill and it works.

I'll have to come up with more songs in the future but for now, yeah.

Well, I have a few songs that ping certain characters, but they span all of the films.

David: Ghosts of the Midway by Nox Arcana, Keep Your Picture Clear by Tom McRae, Black Heart Rodeo by Tom McRae

Dwayne: Human Remains by Tom McRae

Paul: Because I Got High by Afroman

Marko: No One Lives Forever by Oingo Bongo

The Lost Boys: We Will Never Die From Evil Dead the Musical, We Dont Die by Twizid

Frog Brothers: A&B Song by Tom McRae

Zoe: Little Rare Book Room by the HPL Historic Socitey

Star: Pirate Jenny (live) from the Three Penny-Opera

Edgar: Stronger Than Dirt by Tom McRae, Black Mirror by Arcade fire, Boy With the Bubble Gun by Tom McRae

Alan: I Will Not Bow by Breaking Benjamin, Diamond Eyes by Shinedown, I was thinking of a different song... Rolling in the Deep by Adele, Afraid of Me by Twizid, I Ain't Scared Of Lightning by Tom McRae

----- Yes, I really like Tom McRae and the songs really do fit the characters.
----- Edit... sorry, wrong song. I got confused.

Just came across a song befitting for our vampire boys and it's "Demon Lover" by The Creepshow. You can't go wrong with lyrics like:

Killer smile that you can't deny
Pure evil with out a doubt
A Creepshow horror gonna take you for a ride
And you know there's only one way out

PS @ VilaWolf - Afroman, oh god! It's high school all over again for me, LOL. Yet how totally fitting for Paul!

My Angel put the Devil in me- It's a song from Doctor Who series 3 but the lyrics "You lured me in with your cold grey eyes, your sinful smile and your bewitching lies" instantly make me think of David.

I wanna be sedated- The Ramones, makes me think of Paul.

Runaway- Bon Jovi, makes me think of Star

Downtown- Petula Clark. For some reason, I can imagine Lucy singing along to this song.

Uprising- Muse, makes me think of Edgar and Alan Frog.

Happy Together- The Turtles. I reckon this is the song Max hears in his head everytime he sees Lucy.

That's all I've got so far.

Wild Boys by Duran Duran. It's almost freaky as to how much it reminds me of the Boys.

Metallica's "Seek and Destroy" is a song well suited for the vampires. Lyrics in the song include Don't try running away
`cause you're the one we will find
- I mean, you can run from the boys but wherever you go, they're gonna eventually and quickly find ya :feed:

"Die Die Die My Darling" by The Misfits. It's another song for the boys and their pretty but doomed victims.

Ritual by The Danreed Network-even the background music sounds like it's from the movie. When I heard it way back in the day, for some reason I pictured David in a graveyard. One had a red rose on it. That's just my imagination.

Lyrics:
There’s a certain passion that covers us at night
It’s more than one desire, there’s a bond that keeps us tight
Images of love burning in my soul
You are my ritual I can’t let go…

When It comes to loving you
I can relate
We want the same things
I don't care if you make me wait

We're two of a kind
honey
I know how you operate.

Baby
you are my ritual

That's not the entire set of lyrics, but it reminds me of the bond between the boys and the desire between Star and Michael.

45 Grave, "Partytime" (Zombie version)

Oh, my, GOD. This song... I've always love this track! It was originally featured in the 1985 movie "The Return of the Living Dead" where the teens are trying to escape the living dead that are suddenly coming out of their graves. You've got lyrics that start off with:

"Pity the poor darling now
Oh, she never had a chance
Death come quick
For a girl
Victim of a homicide"

Then it takes you to:

"Do you wanna party
It's partytime
We gotta party
It's partytime"

Killing *and* having fun? Yeah, that sounds like our Lost Boys during a typical night out :vampbat:

Dammit, I wish I would make a list of songs and put them on one post, but then the songs never come to me until much later. So anyhoo, here's another song, this time I believe it's more fitting for Star. It's from Staind's 2003 album 14 Shades of Grey and the song is called "So Far Away." It's a song about hope and uncertainty, especially with lyrics that talk about your life being not what it used to be. Before she's had her human life, then she had her life with the Lost Boys, and now she's got her life with Michael.
